Sydney Centre devotees have been meeting for meditation in various locations in and around Sydney CBD since the first group was founded circa 1950 on the lower north shore. Our most recent residencies were in Redfern Street, Redfern (1991–2004) and Cooper Street, Surry Hills (2004–2018).
In February 2018 we relocated to our current premises in Mascot. However, we are now seeking to relocate closer to the CBD and with a view to purchasing our own property.
We formed a Relocation Committee to oversee this process. If you know of a suitable property for our growing membership that is close to public transport, or would like further information, you are welcome to email the Relocation Committee.
Trust Fund
In 2017 Sydney Centre of Self-Realization Fellowship became an incorporated entity – Sydney Yogoda Centre Limited. A Trust Fund, Sydney Yogoda Centre Building Fund, was then set up with Sydney Yogoda Centre Limited as the Trustee.
The Trustee, Sydney Yogoda Centre Limited, is legally bound to hold and invest the funds in trust, in accordance with the terms of the Trust Deed. The funds are to be used solely to purchase and maintain a permanent meeting place for Sydney Centre of Self-Realization Fellowship.
Any premises purchased will become the property of Sydney Yogoda Centre Limited. The Trust will release the funds for the purchase only after the approval processes of Self-Realization Fellowship International Headquarters and Sydney Yogoda Centre Ltd members have been completed.
